Coach's Update - January 21st:

Whew! What a great meet last night. I am so proud of the
team. We had so many great swims and time drops last night across
the board. It was truly a great team effort! We have so many
things to call out, so let's get started!
First, congratulations to our Men's team for their 3rd
straight conference title. It was a great team effort.
Second, congratulations to Laura Johnson and Chris Healy for earning
Outstanding Swimmers of the meet. Both swimmers won two events
last night, with Laura taking the 50 Free and 100 Fly, and Chris winning
the 50 and 100 Free. Next, congratulations to Eric Barefoot for
winning the 100 Breast, and breaking our school record in the process.
Also winning events last night was Alex Fox in the 500 Free and Thomas
Bullock in the 100 Fly.
Last, the following swimmers were named All-Conference for placing in
the top 2 at Conference Championships:
Women: Laura Johnson, Anna Spencer Erickson, Alden
Caron-O'Neill, Savannah Jackson
Men: Thomas Bullock, Eric Barefoot, Alex Fox, Chris Healy, Quad
Caron-O'Neill, Andrew Stafford
We just concluded our dual meet season with a great meet against
Reagan High School. Our women's team lost to a very strong team,
and finished their dual meet season with a 6-3 record, including 4-1
within the CPC Conference. Our men's team finished strong with a
8-1 dual meet record, including a 5-0 record in conference meets.
Congratulations to both teams.
We have had several queries on how swimmers earn a letter in
swimming. There are two ways to qualify for a letter. You
must earn a minimum of 10 points cumulatively during our regular season
in individual meets, or place in the top 12 at our Conference
Championship Meet.
We are in our winter weather time. If school is
cancelled or delayed our morning swim practice will be cancelled.
If school is cancelled we will also not have dry land practice or a swim
meet that day. Please check the website if you are in doubt.
See you at the pool!
