Coach's Update - February 10th
Our 2007-2008 season officially came to an end last night at the
Koury Natatorium. It has been a tremendously successful season and I
want to take a minute to thank the many people who made it happen.
First, I would like to thank our tremendous Reynolds parents for the
support and time they put in to make our season happen. Year after
year I hear the same thing from the other coaches, "You guys have the
best parents in the Conference!" A special thank you to Joan Healy
for coordinating the volunteer effort and putting in countless hours to
make it all come together smoothly.
Second, I want to thank my Assistant Coach, Natasha Garrett.
Coach Garrett ran our dry land program this year, was our "deck boss" at
swim meets, and was extremely important to our team chemistry.
Thank you Coach Garrett!
Thirdly, I would like to thank our Reynolds Athletes. Once
again, they conducted themselves with class and good sportsmanship.
They have been a joy to be around and they certainly make this coach
excited to get started on next year.
And lastly, I want to say a special thanks to Buck Bailey, our bus
driver and guardian angel. For two years we have never lost a meet
when Buck drove us there. He is a special person and the team is
very thankful to be associated with such a fine man.
As I do every year, if you are not already part of a year round swim
program please join one! The key to consistently developing our
program is to expand our base of swimmers who are pursuing our sport all
year long.
Our Swim Banquet will be held March 26th. Be on the lookout for
information.
As always, I will see you at the pool!
